To Be Or Not To Be
I am John Martin an this is my story on how I
almost sleighed the mighty beast of Arachnia. This is how my story began and
how it ended dramatically.
Travelling
at tremendous pace, my ship the Venturour sailed to meet the queen and find out
our task. The whole ship new it was going to be our hardest task of all however
if we completed this task we would have all the riches and live out the rest of
our lives freely. This was set to be our most important voyaged of our lives.
Finally reaching
the mighty city of London, I entered the queen’s chambers and my ears were torn
as I found out our task was to slay the beast of arachnia... Hundreds have
tried and hundreds had failed this was going to be a risky task that I could
not promise my crew we were going to succeed.
Setting of
to our death or our wildest richest I had not told my crew the treacherous task
that stood before us. It will take us three days to get to Arachnia then one
day walking on the island.
Waves attacked
and tried to set us of course almost like they wanted to save us, from what?
Suddenly I heard an almighty screech and felt the fifty tonne ship rock one
side to another. Jumping high in the sky was what seemed a beautiful mermaid
that could not harm anyone or anything but my eyes deceived me as it flew at
one of my crew man an took him into the sea then more and more came dragging
more and more of my men into sea. Picking up the guns we fought back, shooting
the mermaids as they flew in mid air. More and more mermaids came it was almost
like when you shot one ten more came. Then I thought to myself that was it don’t
kill the mermaids just injure the beasts. Finally we cleared the deck of the
injured mermaids but at great expense as twelve men were dead and three were
injured.
On the
second day of our adventure the sea was quiet and two of our injured men died
of lack of blood in these boiling hot conditions. This was the day I was going
to tell them where we were going and what we were doing here... Most of the men’s
mouths dropped some started crying some just stood still.
On the third
and final day on the ship most of the men just leaned over the edge of the ship
and threw up or stared at the sea gormlessly they all looked petrified like
there was no fight left like it was doomsday.
On the
fourth day we set off walking on the island and straight away got attacked by the
beast of Arachnias little minions that we picked off like flies. Our journey
was complete but our task was still on the go.
Entering the
cave of arachnia we put our torches on and still could barely see anything then
out of the dark the beast attacked us and took four of my men into the shadows.
Then the second attack came and I pierced my sword into the beast as an
almighty scream rocked the whole cave. We had hurt it and now we had to kill
it. Then the beast killed another six of my men. Only five of us were left
stood standing, we struck again and a screech came from the beast again then
out of knows where it pierced threw all my men and killed them all in one
strike I was the only one standing. Then the beast knocked me down and I lay as
I watched the beast’s huge claw come down and finished me. It was just not to be!
